Directing stories from the inside out.
Isabel Leight, I’ll Hide, You Seek
Anne wrote and directed the award-winning short I’ll Hide, You Seek, produced by Michael Hausman (Amadeus, Brokeback Mountain, Gangs of New York). Making the film taught her to protect a creative vision while making clear, practical choices within the realities of budget, schedule, and collaboration.
She later studied cinematic language with Annette Insdorf at Columbia University, deepening her understanding of how lens choice, framing, camera placement, and point of view guide an audience’s emotional experience. She also studied directing with Seth Barrish at The Barrow Group, where she developed an actor-centered process rooted in clear direction, spontaneity, and the freedom for performers to trust their instincts. Her directing practice includes theatre as well as film.
